Privacy Policy
At HeitechSoft, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information that applies to our Service, and your choices about the collection and use of your information.
When you contact us, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, business contact details, service interest and message, so we can respond and manage your enquiry. Please do not submit confidential documents or sensitive client information through the marketing contact form. We also collect website usage and request information to understand traffic, improve the site and help protect forms from abuse.
Our public website uses Matomo, PostHog and Google analytics and advertising tools to understand visits, page use and contact activity. PostHog also supports session replay with form inputs masked. Our custom contact-success events report that a form was accepted; they do not include the name, email address or message submitted. The analytics and advertising providers process information under their own policies.
These tools may use cookies or other browser storage. You can manage storage in your browser and use its Do Not Track setting, which our website tracking integrations respect. The optional ad attribution feature described below has its own consent control; that control does not change the settings of the other analytics tools.
HeitechSoft is based in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. We use enquiry information to respond to requests, assess service fit and manage business follow-up. We use service providers for website hosting, communications and analytics. Information handled by those providers may be processed outside Canada; this website does not promise Canadian data residency for analytics or enquiries.
This policy is subject to change, and we encourage you to review it periodically. If you have any questions about our privacy practices, please contact us at [email protected] .
We use access controls and operational safeguards to protect enquiry records from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us to arrange an appropriate channel before sharing confidential business material.
If you no longer wish to receive communications from us, you can opt-out by informing us at [email protected] . You can ask to stop marketing communications without losing access to the contact form or our public website. We may still need to respond to a request you make or communicate about an existing engagement.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. If we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information that we hold. You may also withdraw your consent for us to use your data at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us at [email protected] . We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
Our services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites or services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and, if significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly for any updates.
If you have any questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy, please contact us at [email protected] . We will do our best to address your inquiries and resolve any issues you may have.
When an eligible advertising campaign is active, we can ask whether you want this browser to remember how you reached us. This is optional and starts only after you choose to allow it. Declining it does not prevent you from browsing or contacting us. If the feature is inactive, it saves no campaign data.
With your permission, we use first-party browser storage to remember the first and most recent eligible campaign visit: registered source, campaign, keyword or ad labels, the landing-page path and the time. Each remembered visit lasts up to 30 days. Your allow or decline preference also expires after 30 days; if permission expires sooner, the remembered visits are cleared. This feature does not collect ad click identifiers, full referring URLs or the content you type into a form.
If you submit an enquiry while this permission is active, the remembered campaign information can be attached to your private enquiry record. We use it to review which campaigns produce suitable business enquiries. We do not send your identity, message or our qualification notes to analytics through this feature. Missing attribution is accepted and does not make an enquiry less valid.
Open Ad attribution preferences on a public page to review or withdraw this permission. Withdrawing clears remembered campaign information from this browser and stops further capture. Do Not Track also prevents this feature from collecting it. These choices do not delete enquiry records already submitted; contact us at [email protected] to request access, correction or deletion of those records.
